How often will I need appointments for Invisalign®?

Our dentists will want to check in with you periodically during your Invisalign® treatment in DUMBO. The frequency often depends on how consistently you wear your aligners for 20-22 hours each day. Most patients visit their dentist every three to four weeks for clear aligner check-ins.

What Happens at a Check-In Appointment?

During each visit, your dentist will confirm your teeth are moving as planned, check how your aligners fit, and answer any questions you have. They may also provide your next set of aligners and make small adjustments to your treatment plan if needed.

Check-ins are also a great time to discuss any discomfort or concerns, so don’t hesitate to speak up. Keeping every scheduled appointment helps prevent delays and keeps you on track for your final results.

What Happens If I Lose My Aligners?

It’s a good idea to keep your previous set of aligners as you move through the series, in case you misplace or accidentally throw away your current set. This way, you have a set to wear until your dentist can get a new set of the correct ones. If you’re near the end of your two weeks of wearing the aligners, your dentist may also have you move to the next set in the series early.
